How did the idea of a company called Dead Red
Sports originate?
It originated with two of our founders in 1998. They were
vacationing at Lake Tahoe with their families when they
began brain storming the idea of a company named after
the term Dead Red.
What does the term “dead red” mean?
It means that a hitter is looking for a fastball. The
term first was used in the late 1800’s when baseball’s
had very little life (dead), and the leather covering
was dyed red.
How can I track the status of my order?
Click on the tab “My
Account” then login to your account with your username
and password. Click on “order history.” This will indicate
whether it has shipped or not. If the order has shipped
you will be e-mailed a tracking number, which will allow
you to see where in the shipping process your item is.
How do I determine the shipping charges on my

When you check out of the store the shipping charges will

What is the difference between Dead Red gloves
and another brand?
There are a number of quality gloves on the market, however,
there are also a number of poorly manufactured gloves
for sale. It is important that you look for high quality
leather, strong and durable lacing, impact resistant stitching,
proper padding, and a pocket design that is appropriate
for your needs. Dead Red gloves meet these criteria, but
its brand name offers so much more. The name, “Dead Red,”
reminds a player of preparedness, concentration, speed,
work ethic, teamwork, and focus. These characteristics
make a successful player. No other brand offers the combination
of top of the line materials with mental strengthening.
Does Dead Red have an equipment donation program?
Yes, Dead Red donates old used gloves to under privileged
youth through our “donation/exchange”
program.

You may return an unused item that does not meet your
