The Swing

(1) Get in a
comfortable and balanced stance, feet slightly wider than
shoulder width apart,
(2) take a short stride by lifting the front
foot and putting it down again, pull your hands back to
the launch postion while taking your stride,
(3) release your hand from the launch
position the moment your front foot lands forward during
your stride, pull the knob of the bat down and towards
the pitched ball,
(4) keeping your head still and your eyes on
the ball, extend the bat fully towards the pitched ball,
(5) keep your eyes on the ball all the way through
the ball and follow through.
